Because I love myself.

I gave myself the best Christmas gift I could have by not bringing you into the new year with me. You will stay in 2010, along with Antoine Dodson and the Rent Is Too Damn High guy.

I've deleted your number from my phone and all of your texts. Hopefully you forget where I live and stop showing up unannounced as you have in the past.

I may not prefer to be alone, but I most certainly am more content omitting you from my life.

I wish you good things in your ventures, your studies, and your career. More importantly, I hope you find the courage to finally become a man.

Arrivederci.

Fernando Heria... you will be missed.

Fernando "Lancito Brazofuerte" Heria was a highschool friend. He was a sweet, funny, outspoken dude with a lot to offer the world. It's an absolute shame he's no longer with us. Ferny passed away early Monday morning in a tragic accident. Today would have been his 26th birthday.

He was an avid cyclist, and left an impact on many people. Here's a video of Ferny explaining how he got into the underground racing scene and how he developed as a cyclist and became one of south florida's champs.

Ferny... your time on this earth was far too brief. Your family and friends will never forget you.

25 Funniest Protest Signs

Some of these are "meh" but there are several that made me LOL i.e. "relax! it just says Mcdonald's!"

Most of these signs were seen at the Rally to Restore Sanity organized and hosted by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. I actually really wanted to attend the rally and if I would've known I'd be laid off just a mere 4 days later, I wouldn't have hesitated in taking the trip up there. But alas, thus was my fate and in Miami I stayed. Hopefully they consider another rally next year. Not just to be a part of a rally calling for reasonable discussions rather than the trending severe partisanship we've been seeing lately, but also because it's been nearly 15 years since I've visited D.C. and I've been really eager to take another trip back. Hopefully I don't have to wait much longer.

Here's another site I found with more signs from the Rally. Enjoy. :)
